On Friday after a last minute email from Trevor, I packed up, picked up Malloreigh in my borrowed car (thanks mom <3) and drove down to Washington for Warped Tour at the Gorge.. it was pretty hilarious..

There was this roll of film in my camera from last fall to early last week that I just couldn't seem to finish. It felt like I took a million frames with it, but there was always a picture or two left on the roll.. ( well, finally I'm done.. )

A while back I wandered into one of the little 1 hour photo shops in the Bentals looking for a good place to get my Holga photos developed (it was definitely the wrong place), but I ended up making friends with the guy who worked there and he gave me some expired slide film to try out. ( Here's the results.. )

Last Saturday was Mal & Amanda's going away gathering at Crab Park (and if you know them but weren't there... *wags finger*) Amanda left for Guatemala Monday morning and Mal is leaving before the end of the month and I'm happy/sad about it all... it's been really hard to comprehend that I won't see either of them for months & months and now Nicola is moving to Toronto and I'm out three girlfriends in three weeks. This August has actually been pretty terrible.
Anyway, Saturday - Nigel & I bussed out to Crab Park around 7:00 for food & drinks ( & goodbyes )

It's been a while.

Summer so far has seemed non-existent, I haven't spent one full day at the beach (and I guess that's what constitutes summer for me). It brings me down a little - so does this rain. grey. But this is not a 'complain about the shitty summer' entry! It's more of a catch up entry, because I just spent the long weekend in Victoria with smokes_outside, anorexic_a and malloreigh (among others) visiting the beautiful & talented veinsexplode & her husband.. and I'll want to write about it soon, which means I need to get on it and post about my travels to Calgary first....

ANTM, my house, 7:00ish!! nikala, malamaca & I are having a grilled cheese sandwich party, I think Amanda will be there as well - you all should come too!

8:00am - no one is in the office yet except for me.

This morning I was checking my email and wasting time on my computer while waiting for Nigel to get out of the shower... I have this widget on my computer that tells me the wireless networks in my area and I noticed something kind of weird... Usually there's like four or five networks, mostly my neighbors, but this morning - in BIG GREY LETTERS, it said 'CIA Mobile Surveillance'. Half an hour later, the signal was gone. Does the CIA really check stuff out in Canada? How about the West End? More importantly, if they were watching someone, do you think they'd actually broadcast it? Yeah, I didn't think so either - but it's fun to speculate.

The past four or so days have been exactly what I needed. On Thursday I went to malloreigh's house for dinner and to show her all the photos from my trip (and get some Mal lovin' in.) She made the most amazing cous cous/tomato/chick pea creation (which I plan on making myself this week) and we gossiped until late (my idea of late) and nikala came home. Nicola shed some light on a roll of slide film I'd stolen from her room about three weeks ago, thinking it was half mine, and had developed - only to find a picture of someone I didn't know, sitting on a chair, in my own house! ( This beauty was also on the roll.. )

Friday night was the usual debauchery. An impromptu party at Louis' was followed by a short cab ride to Mod Club and an even shorter walk to ( the Columbia.. )

I woke up Saturday feeling a lot better then I should have. Nigel & I were out the door by 11:00 and headed down Granville to Urban Outfitters to do some serious shopping. Unfortunately, it was only Nigel who got serious. Like Joanna said, I'm just not feeling the 'Spring & Summer 2007' Collection... I'll probably go back and get some shoes though at some point.
rijjer's Housewarming/St. Paddy's day party started at 3:00, we went over to decorate & check out here new pad early.. braving the ants (and then the aunts). I'm not sure if I ever mentioned it, but I booked my trip over the Meatloaf concert I'd bought tickets for (for Nigel, for christmas). Erica went as the replacement girlfriend and she had some amazingly sneaky footage to show me of Nigel singing to Paradise by the Dash Board Light (thank you!).
Mid-hockey game Nigel & I headed home to relax and watch the rest of the game, mostly I just wanted to edit some of the photos from Wednesdays Fake Shark! Real Zombie! show at the Lamplighter.

SUNDAY:
I didn't even leave the house Sunday. Nigel & I spent the entire day watching missed episodes of LOST, drinking tea & making food. ♥

So there's my weekend.. It's an hour later and everyone has made it into work so I guess that means I have to actually work too.. xo

Friday.

Karl trimmed my bangs, first he made fun of them though.
Then I was off to malloreigh's work for a beer and boxing (and tennis and bowling) on her bosses new Wii
*stiff for three days*
Mal & I headed over to that East Indian restaurant on Davie around six (that one where all the employee's are white) for Arinn & Gregs celebratory dinner! I'm an asshole cause I drank too many martini's and called Maggie, Amy. oops.
Back at home I lit a bunch of candles cause the wind was windy and I worried the power would go out.. then I snuggled with the kitties and waited for smokes_outside to get home from his boyfriends.

Saturday.

Over to Leo's to spend (+ some) my christmas gift certificate - new lens and an extra battery. Wish I'd brough my camera with me so I could have taken pictures of Nigel eating pancakes at The Templeton next door.. we sat there for a while and played Meatloaf on the jukebox instead.
Later we forgot to look east down Robson to see poor deflated BC Place but remembered to go to Future Shop in search of a Wii. I played Guitar Hero.
*several hours later*
Bored with Xbox live (so many video games this weekend!) I went upstairs downstairs to help malamaca set up for teens surprise party..

Sunday.

Sleeeeep & tea & sushi for breakfast with Lindsay & Nigel.
We'd planned on heading out to the old/new apartment in Burnaby to pack up some of Neil's clothes now that he's away in Africa so that Nigel can rent it out - we could have gone to Sammy J. Peppers to spend more christmas gift certificates after, but we got lazy and Lindsay & I worked on the site while Nigel played a slide show of pictures of ourselves on our beast of a television. Editing photos of ourselves while watching photos of ourselves on tv. I wish someone had taken a picture.
Lindsay went home at dinner time and Nigel & I made veggie burritos and watched click, then snuggled up for the night...

I ended up with an extra jacket (already claimed by Angry Alex) and an orange scarf after the festivities Friday night at my apartment - it's a nice scarf.. so let me know if it's yours :)



This weekend was my most Christmasy weekend yet. My Christmas shopping is mostly done, my work lunch was Friday afternoon, there were FOUR christmas cards waiting for me when I got home (thank you Miranda, Tanis, Malloreigh & Nikki!) and I got to wear a santa hat for the marjority of Friday night. It was a good Friday night, ( I took pictures )

There really was a point last night where I thought I might be mugged. Sometime around 2:00 (?) I stumbled out of Limerick and headed back to MC alone. Probably not the brightest idea to wander past 'Save-on-Meats' in the middle of night with a purse full of cash and a few credit cards... I ignored the man who seemed to be following a little too close behind me.

Remind me to bring a buddy next time okay?

I am sitting in my pink ruffled underwear on my couch. It's raining, I'm full and that makes for an almost perfect kind of day.

I have pictures from October to post and stories about Malloreigh and her vomiting on cars, photographers from New York, Arinn in Vancouver, Why? and purple t-shirts (conversations & perogies), haunted basements and nudity.

*yawn* It is Tuesday Morning. I'm at work.. green tea latte & cinnamon swirl in hand(s) (and I can still type!)

Last night my darling Joseph popped by for a visit, some perogies and a little gossip. It was a much better way to spend the night then updating livejournal and sizing pictures.

I suppose I can't update on what's gone on this week, cause nothing much really has.. Sunday though I had a card/ladies night over at malloreigh, nikala & xaphnia's (with jocelynn & sadomasochrist2 (jenna!!!)), it was SO nice to be around that many amazing girls all at once. OOHHHH.. Annnnd... I'm seeing Nicola not once, not twice, not THREE TIMES but a whopping FIVE TIMES this week. I think it's a new record (other then when she lived with me for a few weeks last winter)

I have some random pictures from Mod Club a while back to post and some from that art show a few Saturdays ago that Nigel, Nicola & I went to and then some other random stuff from a week or two ago.. ( Yay Pictures! )

Last weekend Nigel & I headed up to Sechelt to stay in a little cottage for a few nights. I'd originally tried to get it for Mal's birthday back in August but it's been booked until NOW! This place was the cutest ever.. it had two bedrooms plus a loft AND a futon (and a living room with more couches) - I'd LOVE to get a bunch of people to go again in the Spring.. have a board game/card game/drinking extravaganza. Anyone? (I know Mal & Jonny are in) - also, it's pretty cheap - Anyway, we spent the weekend making food, two breakfasts in two days is pretty much unheard of for us, dinner.. wine drinking.. we watched Eternal Sunshine and the rest of Twin Peaks (disappointing!) We went to the beach, played poker with fuzzy peaches and listened to good tunes ALL WEEKEND LONG. ( I wanted to stay. )

Tonight it's off to Value Village with Mal & Nicola to find party dresses for my upcoming birthday shindig. Then I hear timbe is having a birthday gathering which I simply can not miss.. (happy birthday tim!!!!)

Time to work.

All of my motivation to do anything other then lay on the couch (absentmindedly watching baseball with NIgel) is gone... it's been gone all day. I went to bed last night feeling antisocial and not quite right.. maybe it was all the people around this entire weekend - SO MANY CROWDS! or that I'd been hoping to make it to water slides and it just didn't work out... or maybe cause I just don't feel like going back to work already.

Other then today and last night it was a swell weekend and it started with Lunch at Luxy's with Lindsay, Louis and my new best friend Roy... Roy & I killed about three hours on Sunset beach/English Bay after Lindsay & teen took off for some couple time - I had lessons on the middle east, we Roy ogled asian boys on the beach, we wondered why myspace won't let us be friends and generally bonded. It was awesome actually, everyone always says such great stuff about Roy but I'd never had a chance to hang out with him (thanks Roy!)

Nigel & I had a little quality time after Roy time, but then it was off to Lindsays for some pre-drinking before ( Mod Club )

Saturday morning I was feeling totally amazing. Nigel & I slept in til 10:30 and then I dragged him up the street to the Pride Pancake breakfast between hamburger mary's and Max on Bute. You can't really beat pancakes on the street for $5. I think all we basically did Saturday afternoon was eat.. we motorcycled up to Malloreigh's house that afternoon with Noodles from Don Don's (omg veggie won tons ♥) and hung out with her & Jonny.. then it was off to the HSBC Celebration of Light (aka Symphony of FIRE *better name imo* ) ( I took pictures of that too )

SUNDAY MORNING - Nigel & I spent the entire day together again doing coupley things.. Pride Parade (which I'd never been to before and am SO glad I went) Booster Juices and to see Pirates II (it was a totally official date, he even bought my ticket) I was pooped at the end of the day, I can't quite even remember falling asleep last night..

And I guess that brings us back to today... I went to Sunset beach this afternoon alone and read and people watched some more and had some much needed (but always hated) alone time.. I had a nap at home and Nigel & I have been eating sandwiches and watching baseball since then.. I can't believe I have to be at work in eleven hours. Four day weekends are always the worst, they seem like vacations - but you just get relaxed and then they're over.

It's past ten and I'm already in bed... but too wound up to sleep cause I just ate a GIANT piece of rainbow sprinkle cake with rainbow sprinkle icing (I made it between loads of laundry after work - how domestic!)

Nigel & I spent the evening doing nothing much until we wandered down to Paramount to see Pirates II.. except it was sold out... so we watched the Devil wears Prada (against Arin's advice, I know) but to tell you the truth, I really liked it! I even knew it was Valentino chatting with Meryl Streep! Anyway... so now I'm sitting in bed with an amazing sugar high thinking... I haven't posted in what seems like eons.

So here's what's new..

( A few Friday's Ago I went to Mod Club... )

I was actually in pretty good shape Saturday morning.. Nigel & I stayed in bed late and brainstormed things to do on a beautiful sunny summer afternoon in Vancouver... We devised a plan to scooter/motorcycle over to lighthouse park in West vancouver with a picnic from Capers & the digital camera...( I hadn't had a day that amazing in a while )

Wednesday night Malloriegh, Jocelynn, Nigel, Crispin & I set out on the laborous, but also quite awesome, task of shooting a new set for Mal... I can't really talk too much about it (soooo hush hush you know ;) ) ( but I took a couple of pictures that I think I'm allowed to share )

I think one of my favourite parts of the last few weeks though was actually NOT coping out of going camping last Friday with Nigel & Erica. It was supposed to be a big trip with lots of her friends from work and Jen and her boyfriend.. but everyone ditched cause of the impending Sunday rainstorm... ( all we basically did was veg & eat.. )

So that about sums up my last few weeks.... Tomorrow I'm helping NIcola move into a lovely little house in East Van with Mal, I'm SO excited to see it.. I can't wait to come hang out there when they're all settled in.. seriously. Wednesday I have to either go to the FSRZ show or head down to the fireworks, cause I haven't been at all yet.. ALSO - it'll be Lindsays birthday!! Thursday is A Scanner Darkly with Crispin & Mal & whoever else would like to join us... then it's Friday again which means another night at Mod Club (did I hear something about a birthday?) :)

Oh man, the sugar high is long gone.. and I have cats & a boy already sleeping next to me.. g'night. xo

Even though I'd vowed to take a break from the bar and try a week of sobriety, I ended up at my apartment - vodka/OJ in hand on Friday night with Lindsay & Malloreigh (and Nigel, but he wasn't coming to the bar).. Since it was really only the three of us (we lost Nigel to his Xbox) there were way too many silly girl pictures taken and lots of getting dressed (and re-dressed)

Saturday I think I slept til almost one and then hitched a ride with NIgel to Kits beach where Mal & Arinn were already lounging about. I didn't even bother getting into my bikini, they went swimming - I took the opportunity to get a little more sleep. I think I slept about ten or so hours every night this week.. it was awesome.

Saturday night Mal & I stayed at my place and had a little girls night/sleepover party - which wasn't really either since it was just the two of us and we were pooped from Friday still... we watched movies & ate grapes & fell asleep before the second movie was over (or at least I did)..

Sunday night was truly the strangest, one involving the most teens... Lindsay, Nicola, Jennifer, Malcolm & I borrowed Nigels car and headed out to Langley to see Fake Shark Real Zombie do an all ages show at a church...

So that was my weekend.. it seemed busy.. it was fun and it DEFINITELY involved a lot of quality time with the ladies. I think I'm going to spend the next few nights with my man and my kitties at home resting...

CNTM finale is on tomorrow, if anyone has been watching and is interested in coming over to watch with me they're more then welcome. We'll order pizza or something.. Monte Carlo delivers.
